This week we have been making a slide about a Staint. I chose st. Francis. He can talk to animals That’s why I chose him.

On Thursday this week we have athletics. Athletics is a thing where you do a heap of sports like Long jump, High jump, shot put, discus and races, maybe even sprints and a relay.

The first one me and my class did was shot put. Shot put is where you get a heavy ball and through it but you have to push forward and do it, the ball goes next to your ear and 1 of your feet go infront of the other. My best through was where i got to cone 4 (There were 5 or 6 cones).

 

The second one me and my class did was discus. Discus is where you get a thing that looks like a disk and through it side ways. How you through is to go sideways like a crab and put 1 arm infront, with the other arm you hold the disk and go 1, 2, 3! and let go with a big through. My best was 7 m & 70 cms (You can go as far as you like).

 

The third one me and my class did was long jump (MY FAVOURITE). Long jump is where you run up from a long path and JUMP as far as you can in a long sandpit. A lot liked this one cause i think its the easiest. My high score was 3 m & 70 cms.

 

The forth one me and my class did was high jump. This one is where you get a bar put a mat next to the bar so you dont hurt yourself and JUMP over it. This one i failed strate away (and the second time) so i became a cheerer.

 

I forgot to say that the race was the first one we did. I came 6 or 7th. I had to run twice around a track (It was big). My heart was pumping so much and i had a terrible stitch.

Then we had last the SPRINTS! Yeah that’s right more RUNNING. It wasn’t too bad tho we had to do a quarter of the track. Then we did a relay which I didn’t sign up for! I waited with my friends for the relay and shouted GO GO GO! To my team mates!

That was the end of Athletics!

This week Room 2 has been learning to write a piece of persuasive writing. Mine is below. I think pets should come to school all day everyday.

Why pets should come to school

Have you ever wanted your pet to come to with you school? I think that everyone should have their pet at school. My reasons for this opinion is that they could calm you down when you are sad or angry, they could keep you company when your doing work and they could be good brain breaks.

Firstly, Pets could Make you calm so you don’t over react. Plus if you didn’t have a pet to calm you down, You might get angry and hurt someone. It slows a person’s heart rate and breathing, reduces blood pressure, and inhibits the production of stress hormones. All of these changes help create a sense of calm and comfort.

Secondly, pets can keep you company . When your struggling with something The pets can help you keep company . Did you know you know that when your struggling the thing that can make you relax is pets!

 Finally, They could take us out for brain breaks. Did you know Dogs or Cats can be useful to been taken out for brain breaks, cause you could play Tag the dog, octopus, line tag, all in tag or tag.

In conclusion I think we should have pets at school, do you think we should? Cause you can have fun with them with all the things they could do. Is dogs better than cats? What do you think?

This week we have been thinking about why stuff should change at school. My opinion is that pet should go to school, because They give good cuddles, They can help you when you’re sad and You can show everyone your pet.
