Last week we did DANCING LIKE THE STARS! That was the best time ever performing in front of lots of people. OK let me explain every THING! Maybe not everything but… On the 1st week of term 2 we started to practise a commentary Jazz dance. Our dance teacher is called Sandy and she is very nice. We kept practising for 9 weeks until the 23rd OF JUNE!

I kept going home saying how terrified and nervous I was about the dancing. I was excited as well though. Then came the day and I arrived at the James Hay theatre. We went backstage and we saw the huge stage and all the seats. We were the first school to be there and we practised on the stage first. It was fun and the lights were amazing.

It was one of the best times this year. All the other schools were pretty good as well. It was a success. My favourite part was practising in the theatre.

Today we had some special guests at our school! They were Ray bishop & Avenheads roadary.

Ray bishop is a singer and musical person and he came to tell us about our dreams and to tell us how special we are. He also sang us a song called Nothing is Impossible.

The other guys were a little bit late but they still were there. They said they were sorry they were late. I think they were the ones who donated half of our Duffy books.

Anyway after all that 2 people from each room came up and took 1 book and had a pitcher together. After that we went back to our class and got our new Duffy books. I got Owl diary’s nature club and Baby sitters little sister, Cat club.

This week we have been learning about making a comic strip about a superhero origin that we made up. I did a person called super wish and she can wish for 1 thing per day.

Yesterday My whole school did the school fun run! So if your wondering what the school fun run is, it is a thing were you raise money by running and doing loads of laps. We went round doing activity’s in our year groups. The activity’s are: Run the gauntlet, that is were you run round in a big circle then stop to do some stuff, like Skipping to 20 and chucking a small bean bag in a box. There is also Running across a place were the parents watching get to chuck balls at you (A gauntlet). We had to run that one 4 or 6 times.

One of the other activity’s are: The obstacle course! Now that one we had to run 4-6 times too, but this one had a net to climb under like this:

There was also hay bales to jump over, it also has one hale bale that has another hay bale on top of it! There was another ossicles which has a balance beam and the last one is the Ice-burg where you crawl on top of a blue mat. Just like this:

The 2 other activities are: The cross country run & The Treasure hunt. Now the cross country run was where we ran round a big corse 3 times then make it back to the Finnish line. So basically its just a normal cross country race. The treasure hunt was fun because what we did was try to find the 70 something tennis balls then bring them back to your house colour bucket. I helped my friends try and find one because One of my friends kindly gave me one because I dident have one. Like this:

THE FINAL one WAS THE BEST BECAUSE it was the colour run. Now the colour run is where you run not that far but through a long runway then the parents AND the teachers spray chalk paint ON US!!!! We were covered of chalk paint!

Hello, This week we have been learning about making character descriptions. Mine was about Fern from my narrative writing, Forest pals. Forest pals are animals that talk and can stand up and help people and do Adventures all the time. The characters are Tigery the tiger, Pandy the panda, Hooty the owl, Hammie the corgi, Sus the other corgi and Horsy the horse, Of course you have Fern the fox too. 

Here is what the description says (its kindove a start of a story):

I was scared and I thought that someone was chasing me, I heard swooping around me as I was running! Something was definitely following me. I came to a dead end and so I had a little look behind me and THERE was standing a Tall, Fluffy, Fast, Cute, Friendly looking FOX! She did not look like she wanted to hurt me. She had a bright orange fluffy coat and big cute Green eyes like a green apple. A fluffy tail followed behind her. She was somehow standing up right. She was way bigger than a normal fox! Like a human sort of size.

I walked into the place Fern took which was an underground place that was under a house and then suddenly I had a feeling that I had to turn around, so I did. Standing right behind me was a human sized panda! She had big cute eyes,  she had big black ears and a Black and white body. A little bobby black tail Followed behind her. She also had a very fluffy coat, Perfect to have a warm cuddle. The black round her eyes just made her more cute. She was standing up right somehow too.
