For the past 2 weeks we have been working on a presentation of a country of your choice with a buddy, for Cultural day. Me and my best friend Pixie-Rose chose the country Australia. Then today we had our Cultural day and everyone came to school dressed as either the countries you represent or one you’ve been learning about. We had this big parade in our court, then Willa and Brenna, the Kapa Haka and Year 7s performed in front of the school.

Yesterday Room 9 & 10 went on a Google meet with schools from all over Christchurch, and got taught by a year 5 and a year 6 student from Belfast school how to make a short simple animation on Canva. They showed us all the steps on how to create it and examples of stuff we could do. I decided to do a fox running through a field with bees buzzing around.

For the last few weeks we have been planning and videoing our own advertisement about anything we want in small groups. I did our advert with Pixie-Rose and Isa. The brand we chose to do was Nike with different Nike products, including Shoes and sports equipment.

This term for RE we have been learning about all the different types of religions and what they are. We found out that there are 8 different types, including: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Shinto, Sikhism and Judaism. After learning about them we had to create a poster about one specific religion and I chose Buddhism.
